1. Will installing a backup camera system void my vehicles warranty?

A: No, installing a backup camera system or any aftermarket accessory or device will not void your vehicles manufactures factory warranty. In fact, it is illegal for a car dealer to deny warranty coverage because you have installed a backup camera system or any aftermarket accessory or device.  The Federal Trade Commission, the nations consumer protection has issued a bulletin that explains your protections under the law (The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act) and legal your rights. 2. Will your backup camera systems work on my vehicle?

A: Yes, Our Premium Backup Camera System will work on any Car, Minivan, SUV, Pickup Truck or Commercial Vehicle.

3. Why doesn't Backup4Safety.com sell a “Wireless” System?

A: “Wireless” Backup Camera systems are subject to signal interference and “Cross Talk” from outside sources, such as cell phones, Bluetooth devices, security cameras from stores and warehouses and worst of all OTHER WIRELESS BACKUP SYSTEMS!!!!


At the very least, the “Wireless” LCD Monitor will flash on and off randomly while driving with static or a “Cross Talk” signal from a security camera. This can be generally annoying during the day, at night this can be a dangerous distraction.


“Cross Talk” from OTHER WIRELESS BACKUP SYSTEMS is a potentially dangerous hazard that can occur when two or more vehicles with “Wireless” Systems are backing up at the same time, in the same driveway or parking lot. The signal on the “Wireless” LCD Monitor may be from the another vehicle’s camera, thus creating a dangerous situation where you won’t know if there are people or obstacles behind you when backing up. I dreaded the thought of a school parking lot at pick-up time filled with cars, minivans and SUVs with “Wireless” Systems all potentially getting the wrong signal on their LCD Monitors.

6. Can I buy your systems without installation?

A:  Yes, all of are products are available without installation.  In fact, Online purchases qualify for FREE Nationwide Ground Shipping (Continental US Only).  Please call 732-360-SAFE (7233) for prices not on listed on site.

7. Can you hook up a backup camera to my vehicle’s factory navigation system?

A:  Yes, we can integrate a backup camera into Most of today’s (and late model) vehicles with factory navigation systems.  Many can be found through your vehicles manufactures link on my PRODUCTS page.  Please note that integrating into your vehicles navigation system requires custom electronic integration modules that can cost considerably more than our Premium System or Rearview Mirror system.  We only use the Top Integration Module Manufacture’s products (Nav-TV & Coastal Tech), the same that are used by new car dealers nationwide.

8. Can I install the backup camera system myself?

A: Although we recommend professional installation, our products can be installed by the DIY’er with a basic knowledge of automotive 12V systems and the right tools (12V tester is a must)!  Click Here For Installation Instructions

9. How long will installation take?

A:  Professional Installation by Backup4safety.com of a backup camera system will typically take 2 - 3 hours (complex installations can take longer) and can be performed at your home or office for maximum convenience.

10. Why do you only install in New Jersey and Staten Island?

A:  We are located in Central New Jersey (Edison) and have chosen to only service the New Jersey and Staten Island Area to provide the best customer service, quick response and support to customer’s needs.

11. What is the warranty on your products?

A:  Backup4safety.com® branded products carry a 1 Year Limited Warranty.  Gentex® and Rearsight by Rostra®  products carry a 3 year/36,000 mile Manufactures Limited Warranty.  If Backup4safety.com professionally installed your product, warranty includes removal/re-installation of said product under the warranty period.*

12. Do you warranty your installation?

A:  Yes, Backup4safety.com stands behind our installation services and will correct any problem directly relating to the product installation, for the product’s warranty period.*

13. How do I file a warranty claim?

A: Just call 732-360-SAFE (7233) for information to arrange and organize a Backup4safety.com Child Vehicle Safety Fundraiser.  We provide Free copies of our Child Vehicle Safety and Solutions Guide for all members of the organization and a Free Vehicle Safety Demonstration Presentation and Product Demonstration Table at your next event (pending availability).  Sales are completed Online, at Product Demonstration Table, or by calling 732-360-SAFE (7233).  We will donate 10% of Online Product Sales and $20.00 for every Complete Backup Camera System Installation Sale to your organization. Online sales are shipped free to the customer.
